Complete a full-page summary of the activities from one day at Strawberry Creek. Include a detailed description of any of the interesting wildlife you observed during that day.
Also, give a step-by step description of the day’s activities that you participated in. What was your role in the work that was done? How did you assist other students in the group with their work? What did you learn from the day’s activities? Explain how the work you did is important to the conservation of Strawberry Creek.
In your closing paragraph, explain how this day’s activities could be improved for next year. Give constructive criticism. Include the activities in the day that you enjoyed the most.

During the Strawberry Creek field trip I have participated in, the most fun day I had throughout all of the days was the last day. During that day I had to get into a group of four and research a section of the creek. My group and I were located at the very end of the creek. We had to measure the coordinates of our area, place border sticks, so that the group next to us wouldn’t get mixed up, and picked up trash to help the wildlife stay as it was before it was trashed. We checked up on what type of plants were in our area, we also checked what was in the water and how clean it was for the environment. The measurements on the water came out to the positive side, so the water was clean. At the end of all our researching we then ate some healthy snack bars. All in all that was my most favorite day of the three.
During the introduction of the first day everyone that participated walked to one side of the creek. Everyone had to sketch a photo of what the environment was like with detail. The teachers that were out were providing everyone with materials such as colored pencils and clip boards. Then we walked towards the other side of the creek and sketched another photo of the area also. The walking was the most tiring part of the first day. The first day was only and introduction of what we were going to do. During the second day, we walked straight to the other side of the creek to start our experiments on the plants to help out the wild life. Finally, on the last day we went really deep into the creek where we checked on plants and did some water testing to see how healthy and clean the water would be for the wildlife. It turned out positive that the water was good enough for the plants and animals out there.
During the days I was in a group I was basically the person to go into the creek take measurements and sketch the photo while the others in my group were picking up the trash that was lying around. Since my group and I completed our area a little quicker than we should have, other groups asked us how to do some steps and how we did them and so we assisted them on how to complete their assignment so they could move on with us. From all the days that I participated in I have learned that wildlife and the outdoors are really helpful to us, but we just abuse those areas without knowing that we have. The work that was completed from all the people that participated greatly enhanced the living conditions for the animals’ natural habitat. What I recommend for next year, is that all the people who will participate on this fieldtrip in the future is that possibly replace the dead plants around and maybe trees to help the life on earth all together.

During the Strawberry Creek field trip we participated in cleaning up the creek and doing some testing of the creek water. The third day of the trip was the most exciting of the trip. My partner and I helped in setting up the perimeters for the for the many different groups that were there. We placed string on the stakes to close off each groups plot of land. We also got our coordinates of the plot of land via GPS that the instructors had. While there we also did water testing, we tested the phosphate, nitrate, Dissolved Oxygen, and a few other distinct factors of the water that determined if the water was healthy enough for aquatic life.
On the first day of the the trip we walked to the trapezoidal creek to the Northeast of Clavine. We sketched a picture of the creek to show the visual health of that creek. The trapezoidal creek was very unhealthy compared to Strawberry creeks health. The second day we set up perimeters and drew a sketched a picture of Strawberry creek. We measrued 50 feet plots for each group, each group blocked off and cleaned up their plot, and we took the GPS coordinates of each plot. On the third day we did water testing. We tested the health of the creek to insure that aquatic life could be substained in the water.
During the trip my group helped to set up alot of activities that took place. In my group I helped set up the plot and pick up trash, my partner helped so the sketch..My group and I finished fastest and we’re able to help other groups with their plots. We helped make sure that Strawberry creek was going to be able to substain life on land and in the water. After we finished we learned alot about creek restoration and preservation.

My name is FB and during the Strawberry Creek field trip I have participated in, the most fun day I had throughout all of the days was the second day because me and my partner both helped my teacher Debbie to identify the weeds and plants that the students found in the grids they were making. The students made grids and then found plants they were unfamiliar with and brought them to a table which I was working at and my job was to look through a book that had all the plants and weeds in California, and identify what they were. Not only did I do the identifying but also found new and fresh flowers that had been frozen from the previous years and replaced them. This day was a lot of fun. Because students worked so hard our teacher Ron was nice enough to provide us with water and granola bars.
The first day of the three field trips we really didn’t do that much but we walked to both trapezoidal creek and Strawberry Creek to record what we saw around the creeks and to draw pictures of what we saw. For example we saw birds, litter and algae and a lot more but on our paper we had symbols that we were to use for everything we saw.
The last day of the Strawberry Creek field trip we tested the water to find the temperature of it from one side of the creek to the other. Depending on the temperature of the creek we could discover how polluted or nr it was. We ran plenty of test on the water and did a lot of observations, and also picked up some of the garbage and litter that was left behind. We came to understand that when it rains or when you wash your car or when you water our grass a lot of chemicals that come from you doing those things washes down he storm drain and that’s how it becomes polluted.
